Breakfast Recipes - Shirred Egg with a Twist
I had never heard of a "shirred" egg breakfast recipe before this. Can anything be as simple and brilliant!? I say no.
I took the shirred egg concept and added, to the bottom and top, some Bisquick mix and milk (to make it pancake batter-like) and added garlic salt, fresh ground black pepper and cayenne pepper. I used some leftover roast beef and some grated Mexican-blend cheese, along with, of course, an egg.
Adding only a thin layer of the Bisquick mix before and after adding all ingredients and baked for 15 - 20 minutes or until brown on top, this could not have come out looking and, more importantly TASTING any more fantastic. You can make some the night before and bake the next morning. Thank you Todd!

Jimmie - this is the kind of thing that just gets me so excited to read! My goal is to get your head spinning and your creative juices flowing and I need to pat myself on the back for this one (haha)! Seriously - you've inspired me this time. I think I might have to try a little Bisquegg for myself real soon. Cool! - CTM
