Indian Cabbage Recipe I Didn't Follow
by Wazzup

I had some leftover cabbage flower and wanted to spice it up. Went for inspiration and found a recipe for an Indian curry (Flower cabbage balti) and followed that .... And with "follow" I mean change half the ingredients, changed the method, but it still came out absolutely delicious.
All you need is a little knowledge and some inspiration.
I used onion, garlic, tomatoes, Aubergine,
Chicken, Kurkuma. Green curry paste, Cumin, some curry powder, Vegetable stock powder, some coarse mustard, and some salt, nd the leftover flower cabbage.
I sautéed the onion, threw the rest in and let it sit for maybe 10 minutes. Added the flower cabbage, heat it through and serve.
You may notice that I didn't mention how much of what. My point is that if you like something you use a bit more. And if you don't like it... use less (or skip it at all if possible)
That's basically how I cook every day. Pick some ingredient, find inspiration, adapt, and enjoy :-)
Chef Todd Says:
While I'm not a big fan of cabbage, I am a big fan of people who are inspired in the kitchen. You found a recipe that had the basis for where your tastes were taking you. But, ultimately you control the journey. So, you changed ingredients, changed cooking methods, changed seasonings, all to suit your own desires, not the guy that wrote the cookbook.
Good for you! That's inspired cooking.
