Double-duty Spaghetti Water for Real 30 Minute Meals

For creating 30 minute meals, it is important to save time while cooking, but what about saving time in fewer dishes to wash afterwards? This tip will give you time at all points of the cooking process.

When I'm boiling the spaghetti noodles, I make sure there is enough space above the water for me to use the metal strainer as a steamer basket by sitting it on top of the pot.

I get to steam the veggies while cooking the noodles. The bonus is fewer dishes to clean later.
